Clément Baratin

IT Student

About me

Hi, I'm Clément Baratin, a 21-year-old IT student in my third year at the University of Caen. Passionate about computer science, I am currently specializing in software engineering and looking for a school to further my studies in computer science for the 2025-2026 academic year.

I have a strong interest in full-stack and mobile development, with a particular focus on CI/CD and software architecture. My goal is to design efficient, scalable solutions. I worked as a software engineering apprentice at SAP Labs France for a year, where I developed an application to record and analyze the performance of the Convergent Charging software.

I'm versatile and I like to learn new things. I am currently learning about cloud computing and DevOps. I love to master frameworks like Flutter, Spring Boot, or Jetpack Compose.

Hobbies

I have a deep passion for music and play both the bass and the piano. Music is my way of expressing myself and unwinding. Beyond playing, I am particularly interested in music theory, with a focus on harmony analysis.

Traveling is another passion of mine, as it allows me to explore new cultures and connect with people from different backgrounds. Meeting new people and immersing myself in diverse cultures broadens my perspective and deepens my understanding of the world.

I also have a great love for reading. Whether it’s novels, philosophical essays, or technical books, I enjoy diving into literature as a way to expand my knowledge and explore different viewpoints. Books are a powerful tool for both learning and personal growth.

Lastly, I am deeply fascinated by rhetoric. The art of persuasion and structured argumentation captivates me, as it enables clear communication and critical thinking. Whether through public speaking, debates, or writing, I appreciate the ability to craft compelling arguments and express ideas effectively.
